Evgenia Medvedeva: Most athletes have a fear of competition
The athlete stressed that everyone struggles with this fear in their own way.
Figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva spoke about the main psychological problem of athletes.
“This is probably the fear of competition. There is even such a term “minus start”, when in training you do everything perfectly, but in the competition itself you are afraid, you go out on the ice and in the end you screw up. But this happens to most athletes and everyone struggles with it in her own way," she said in an interview with Laysan Utyasheva.
Medvedeva also said that now she constantly violates the sports regime: she likes to go to bed at three in the morning and wake up at one in the afternoon.
