WADA filed an appeal in the case of Kamila Valieva

The International Olympic Committee supports WADA's intention to challenge the decision of the RUSADA Disciplinary Anti-Doping Committee on the innocence of the Russian figure skater.

The World Anti-Doping Agency has filed a complaint with the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the decision made by the RUSADA Disciplinary Committee in the case of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva.

"WADA has carefully reviewed the full motivational part of the decision and the dossier in the case of figure skater Kamila Valieva. WADA considers the conclusion of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency Disciplinary Committee that the athlete had "no fault or negligence" to be incorrect under the terms of the World Anti-Doping Code, and exercised its right to file a claim , by applying to the Court of Arbitration for Sport," the WADA press service reports.

As part of its appeal, WADA will seek the annulment of all Valieva's results from December 25, 2021, as well as her suspension for four years. The appeal is currently pending before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
