Jake Paul admits defeat to Tommy Fury
The boxing match took place on Sunday, and ended with Fury's victory by a split decision.
Jake Paul was defeated by a split decision in a boxing match with Tommy Fury on Sunday, February 26. During the press conference after the event, Paul accepted the defeat.
"Good fight. I didn't perform well. Fair play for Tommy: he won fair, that's boxing. I really couldn't get my game plan to work. But, that's the essence of this sport: you win something great and lose something. Like I said, judge me by my losses, because I'll be back. I was really well prepared and I think it was more of a reflection of my own performance than that it was super outstanding. I couldn't rev the way I wanted to and felt a bit cramped," he said.
According to the American social media star, Fury was exactly the opponent he had hoped for, but he "just didn't fight like he could."
