Dana White praises Suarez returning after almost 4 years away

Tatiana Suarez didn't compete in the main event of UFC Vegas 70, but it seemed like the entire MMA world was watching her comeback after nearly four years away from the sport.

After climbing to the top of the featherweight rankings in 2019 with five straight wins in the UFC, Suarez was forced to sideline with a serious neck injury. She never gave up hope of fighting again and eventually returned on Saturday night where she took a second round win over Montana De La Rosa.

Dana White at the press conference after the fight UFC Vegas 70 admired the athlete: “She looked amazing. Everyone knows how I feel about so much free time. Other than what she fought personally, physically, and then came back and De La Rosa is very bad, this is a legitimate fight back.”

The performance bonus was likely the icing on the cake for Suarez, who was understandably flustered during the post-fight interview as she made her first cage appearance since her win over Nina Nunes in June 2019.
