It rained soft toys at a children's football match in Turkey

Besiktas fans, who filled the stands of Vodafone Park, threw on the field the players who were brought to be sent to children affected by the earthquake.

Hundreds of fans threw thousands of teddy bears and other toys onto the playground during a match between Besiktas and Antalyaspor in Istanbul as a donation to children affected by the earthquake in Turkey.

The event was organized by Besiktas fans as part of an effort to help people affected by the earthquakes that hit southern Turkey.

The Turkish Super League match was stopped at 04:17 to allow fans to throw gifts on the pitch. The time of the break was chosen to commemorate the first earthquake that hit Turkey at 0:4:17 am local time on February 6th.

“Our fans threw scarves, berets and soft toys on the floor of the Vodafone park to share with children in the earthquake-affected region and cheer them up,” the Besiktas team said in a statement.

Football players and stadium workers picked up the toys from the playground and set them aside before applauding the audience.
