Gein's photo caused a stir on the internet as fans and pundits pointed out some swelling around his right arm. Ahead of his upcoming fight, Cyril Gan underwent surgery to repair his arm after being knocked out in the third round by Tai Tuivasa at UFC Paris last September.

“So I will be out of action for a few months guys to heal my arm that was broken during the fight with Tai,” he wrote on one of his social networks. “I will use this time to heal other injuries as well and will come back stronger than ever in 2023. I will be back for this belt and I am not going anywhere.”
Gan said in a recent interview with James Lynch's YouTube channel that he was able to fully recover his hand from surgery and has no problems with it at all.
““No, everything is fine with my hand now. I sparred, worked on a heavy boxing bag. No, my hand is normal, it has healed,” the fighter said.
The confrontation between Jones and Gan will take place on March 5 and headline UFC 285.
Jones has previously stated that he is in great shape.
