The headliner of the UFC 285 tournament, which took place on the night of March 5 in Las Vegas, was a fight for the vacant heavyweight title between Jon Jones and Cyril Gun.
It took Jon Jones just over two minutes to leave no stone unturned against Cyril Gan's defense to win the vacant UFC Heavyweight Championship belt.
From the first seconds of the fight, which headlined the UFC 285 tournament in Las Vegas, the American began to pressure the Frenchman to then easily knock the opponent to the ground, failing a counterattack attempt.
Reversing position, Jones pinned Gun to the net, effortlessly grabbed his neck and applied a guillotine choke, forcing referee Mark Goddard to stop the fight at 2:04 of the first round.
After a triumphant return to the octagon after a three-year hiatus, Jon Jones has confirmed he will be ready to defend his belt in July against former division champion Stipe Miocic, who was previously named the official title challenger.
