German tennis player Alexander Zverev admitted this Thursday ahead of his singles debut in the inaugural Masters 1000 against Argentina's Pedro Cachina on the hard courts of Indian Wells, California, USA, that he could "compete with the best in the world again and be on the same level."
Zverev wished to “find” his “best tennis” in this tournament after an injury at the last “Roland Garros”, when he sprained his ankle in the semi-final against Rafael Nadal.
Since then, the German has managed to win only two victories at the recent tournament in Dubai, where he lost to Russian Andrey Rublev in the semifinals. “It was very important. I hope it will be even better here,” he stressed.
