Tim Tszyu Wins Interim World Boxing Title

Tim Tszyu stopped Tony Harrison by TKO to win the interim WBO super middleweight belt.

Tim Tszyu knocked out American Tony Harrison in the ninth round, and became the owner of the interim World Boxing Organization (WBO) super middleweight belt, following in the footsteps of his legendary father Kostya Tszyu.

Tszyu landed Harrison a series of hard blows to the head and body, forcing the referee to stop the fight at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena on Sunday.

Australian Tim Tszyu's victory came 28 years after his father Kostya Tszyu knocked out Jake Rodriguez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Tim was only two months old when his father won his first world title, the IBF super middleweight belt.
