Former world number one Daniil Medvedev beat Alexander Davidovich Fokina to reach the semi-finals of the Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells. The Russian won 6:3 and 7:5 in a very even match, in which the Spaniard made things difficult for him with his versatile and aggressive play.
Thus, Medvedev sums up his 18th win in a row and for the first time reaches the semi-finals in Indian Wells, where he will meet with American Francis Tiafoe, who previously defeated former California champion Cameron Norrie.
