Daniel Grassl: It's hard to skate last in the warm-up

An athlete from Etteri Tutberidze's group placed eighth at the world championships in the short program.

Italian Daniel Grassl, who works in the group of Etheree Tutberidze, commented on the result of the first competitive day among the men at the World Championships in figure skating.

"It's hard to skate last in the warm-up - psychologically. I'm always terribly nervous, and the ice itself is not at all in perfect condition by the time you come out. I am glad I struggled. I was in good shape for the World Championships, so I am happy I did well," he said.

The men's free program at the World Championships in Japan will take place on March 25. The program starts at 11:20 am Moscow time.
