David Benavidez and Caleb Plant will fight in the ring, more than usual

Plant's team requested an exception, which was approved by the NSAC.

Devil Benavidez and Caleb Plant will fight in a 22ft x 22ft ring, which is larger than what is normally used in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Benavidez and Plant will fight in a 22v22 ring on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena," explained Keith Idek, a journalist at BoxingScene. "This is more than the standard 20x20 rings used in Nevada since the mid-nineties. Plant's team has requested an exception, which is approved by the NSAC (Nevada Athletic Commission)."

Benavides mentioned several times that the fight will be difficult, but he will manage to emerge victorious. A difference of two feet means a little less than a meter.

The winner of this bout will be Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's next contender for the WBC 168lb belt.
