Jesus Alejandro Ramos dominates and stops Joey Spencer in the seventh round

The heavyweight fight has become one of the main events on the card.

Undefeated Jesús Alejandro Ramos (20-0, 16 KOs) stopped Joey Spencer (16-1, 10 KOs) as the pair fought at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 25th. The heavyweight bout was one of the main events on the card, in which David Benavidez defeated Caleb Plant.

The fight, scheduled for ten rounds, did not go the whole distance. After being knocked down with a left hook in the first round, the Casa Grande (Arizona, USA) native continued to dominate and defeated his opponent from Grand Blanc (Michigan) by technical knockout after the latter took a corner throw in the towel.

“I felt like I looked really good,” Ramos said. “After the knockdown in the first round, I got a little carried away with my strength, so it took me a while to start working on everything we practiced in the gym.”

Ramos thanked the opponent for the meeting.

“He is a great fighter with a big heart. I hope we get another such fighter. It makes the evening interesting,” he said.
