Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue postponed to July 25 in Tokyo

Many boxing fans around the world were disappointed to hear the news that Naoya Inoue suffered an injury in training that forced the postponement of his long-awaited bout with Stephen Fulton Jr. but the fight was not completely derailed.

In fact, according to ESPN, a new date for the bantamweight title fight has been set, and the fight will now take place July 25 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Inoue (24-0, 21 KOs) held on for an 11th round win over Paul Butler last December, while Fulton (21-0, 8 KOs) last won by unanimous decision over Daniel Roman last summer. By the time this fight took place, Fulton had been out of action for more than a year.
