The famous Soviet boxer Igor Vysotsky passed away today at the age of 70.

He did not win any international titles, but he was known as a two-time winner of legendary Cuban boxer, 3-time Olympic champion and 3-time world champion Teofilo Stevenson. In 1973 he defeated the Cuban for the first time in his career and in 1976 he knocked him out.

In 1978, Vysotsky was one of three Soviet boxers, who had demonstration sparring with Mohamed Ali.
