Gretzky criticized Kuznetsov for the manner of free throws

The Canadian considers this method a mockery of the goalkeeper.

Canadian forward Wayne Gretzky criticized the Russian striker “Washington Capitals” Yevgeny Kuznetsov for the manner of execution of free throws.

Kuznetsov prefers to move slowly towards the opponent's goal during shootouts.

“I can’t stand this. There should be a timer, like in baseball. Seven or eight seconds,” Gretzky said on TNT.

According to Gretzky, during his career, opponent hockey players would consider such a performance a mockery of the goalkeeper.

"If I did something like that, 20 players would have jumped over the board," concluded the Canadian.
