Katarina Gerboldt: Ilya Malinin is a bright breakthrough of this year

Katarina Gerboldt answered the question whether there is progress in international figure skating without the participation of Russian athletes.

“Not among the girls. This is my opinion. They didn’t talk about anyone in sports couples. I also heard about dancing that it’s somehow not very good. For men, Ilya Malinin is probably a bright breakthrough this year. We thought it was better than just quads, it can’t be, but there was a guy who proved that this was not so, ”she said.

Gerboldt also emphasized that she believes that Malinin will become the leader among men's singles in the next four years.
