Russian Ian Nepomniachtchi lost to China's Ding Liren in the sixth game of the World Chess Championship match.
The Chinese, who played with White, chose the English system and, taking advantage of Nepomniachtchi's less successful moves, deprived him of counterplay. The opponents made a number of inaccuracies, but Ding made better use of them and won on the 44th move.
The score in the match is equal - 3:3. The seventh game will take place on April 17, Nepomniachtchi will play with white pieces.
