Alexei Yagudin told why it was important for him to perform a triple sheepskin coat at the show programs tournament.

“Ilya Averbukh and I talked, I explained: “You understand, I need a program - this tournament is not about a triple sheepskin coat. This is different. You will see a completely different Yagudin if I jump in the first seconds. I need to jump it - otherwise I then physically die. The video shows: this is a change of everything!” Then they approached me: “You were like a child who got the candy that he so dreamed of,” he said.

The skater also noted that he has no problems with the triple jump physically - it's the fear that you won't jump now. However, he wanted to overcome his fear.
