Alexander Ovechkin: I think Malkin is happy with his new contract with Pitt
The Penguins' Russian forward signed a four-year deal.
Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin believes Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeny Malkin is happy with his new contract.
Malkin, 35, signed a four-year contract with the Penguins. It was preceded by difficult negotiations.
"I think Malkin wanted to sign a four-year contract. I believe he's happy with those terms," TASS quoted Ovechkin as saying.
Malkin's salary under the new contract will average $6.1 million a year.
