Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup after confirming it was the only one to stand as a candidate. Through his social media account, FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced the Asian country as the host of the 2034 World Cup.
“Football unites the world like no other sport, and the FIFA World Cup is the perfect example to demonstrate unity and inclusivity, and serves as an important illustration of how different cultures can come together, learn and better understand each other,” commented Infantino .
Australia decided on Tuesday - the bid deadline - not to bid to host football's premier international tournament. And a few hours later, FIFA officially recognized the Saudi Football Federation as the sole and main candidate to host the 2034 World Cup.
