Vlastimil Petržela: "Zenit could compete for Ronaldo
According to the ex-coach of St. Petersburg, the club would have enough money for that.
Former Zenit St. Petersburg coach Vlastimil Petrzela believes that the Bilo-Syni could compete for Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to him, only international sanctions against the club, due to which he is suspended from European Cups, as well as other representatives of Russia, prevent this.
"Ronaldo, on the other hand, needs a club that plays in the Champions League. So Zenit would have played there if UEFA had not suspended Russian clubs. I think St Petersburg have enough money to keep Cristiano," Sport24 quotes the Czech coach as saying.
Ronaldo is unhappy that MU are not playing in the Champions League. He had previously asked for a transfer or a loan, but the club refused him.
