Andrey Mozalev moved to Eteri Tutberidze's group
Coach Kirill Davydenko wished his former ward good luck and announced the termination of cooperation.
20-year-old Russian figure skater Andrei Mozalev, who trained under Kirill Davydenko for his entire professional career, has joined Eteri Tutberidze's group. Already on Monday he started training with the new team.
According to Sport-Express, Mozalev asked to join Eteri Tutberidze's group after the Russian Championships held in Chelyabinsk, where he took 11th place. A source of "SE" described Tutberidze's reaction to the skater's request as surprise, but she gave her consent. Mozalev's move to Eteri Tutberidze's group has also been agreed with the Russian Figure Skating Federation.
The skater's coach Kirill Davydenko wished his former ward good luck. Under his guidance Andrei Mozalev became world junior champion in 2020, bronze medalist of the Russian championship in 2022, in the same year he took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing.
