Euro 2024: Group F

On June 18, the final Group F matches will begin at the European Championship in Germany. It includes the national teams of Turkey, Georgia, Portugal and the Czech Republic.

The Georgian national team won a ticket to the championship thanks to a 4:2 penalty shootout victory over Greece. The regular and extra time of the match ended with a score of 0:0.

Portugal National Team

The Portuguese team won Group J without losing a single qualifying match. Luxembourg suffered the most – the Portuguese won 9:0.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the main star of not only the Portuguese team, but the whole world, needs no introduction. It should be noted that he scored 10 goals in the qualifying round. His teammate Bruno Fernandes scored six times.

Czech Republic team

The Czechoslovakia national team became European champions almost 50 years ago – in 1976. Since the Czech Republic is the legal successor of this country, this achievement is considered its best result in European championships.

The Czechs took second place in Group E, having scored the same number of points as Albania (15 each), but lost to the Balkan team on additional indicators: the Czech Republic drew 1:1 at home, but lost 0:3 away.

Czech captain Tomáš Soucek has played 68 matches for the national team. He holds the national team record: on March 24, 2021, he scored a hat-trick in 16 minutes in a World Cup qualifying match against the Estonian national team.
