A month of big football has flown by. Behind us are 32 matches of the European Championship, and ahead is the most important one. It will be played on July 14 in Berlin, and the national teams of Spain and England will compete for the main trophy. We tell you about the main stars of the upcoming final.

Jude Bellingham

The 21-year-old Real Madrid midfielder is having the brightest season of his career. This season, he managed to become the champion of Spain and the winner of the Spanish Super Cup, as well as lift the Champions League trophy over his head. Now Bellingham is the main young star of the English national team, and great hopes are pinned on him.

Incidentally, it is largely to him that the English national team owes its passage to the 1/8 finals of the tournament. Bellingham scored in the match against the Slovakian national team at the 94th minute 34th second mark and brought the “lions” victory. It should be noted that this shot was the first on-target for the English in this match, as well as the latest for the team in the history of the national team at the European Championships.

Lamin Yamal

This young Barcelona striker will turn 17 only on July 13. At this Euro, he broke all records that could begin with the phrase "youngest". For example, he is the youngest player in the history of the European Championships - at the time of his first match, Yamal was 16 years and 338 days old. PSG already dreams of buying him, but Barca made it clear - Lamin is not for sale. And a photo of little Yamal with Lionel Messi, which was taken as part of a charity project, went viral on the Internet, which added to the hype around the young forward.

The footballer scored the first goal against the French national team in the semi-final, which will definitely be a contender for the title of the most beautiful ball of the championship. Before the match, the French tried to put moral pressure on the 16-year-old player, but in the end he sent the tricolor home.

Harry Kane

If Bellingham is England's young hope, then Kane is its brain and wisdom. The footballer spent his entire career at Tottenham and only last year swapped foggy Albion for Germany, where he began playing for Bayern.

Kane currently has 101 matches for the national team, an absolute record for the English. In 2021, he was one of those who had already played in the Euro final: at their home stadium in London, England lost to Italy in a penalty shootout. Harry scored his penalty, but the "squadra azzura" were more accurate.

Having scored against the Netherlands in the semi-finals, Harry Kane became the top scorer in the European Championship playoffs, now he has six goals in knockout matches. At Euro 2024, Kane scored three goals and can receive the Golden Boot.

Jesus Navas

The Sevilla defender is one of the oldest players in the European Championship. At 38, he reliably cements the defense of the "Red Fury", although he went to the tournament as a reserve. Navas played his first full match at Euro 2024 in the third round of the group stage against Albania, he led the team into the match with the captain's armband.

Initially, it seemed that Navas did not belong in the tournament: he played little for the club, and in the European Championship qualifiers he appeared in only two matches. In the spring, Jesus was close to leaving Sevilla, but the fans defended him. As a result, Navas received a lifetime contract with the club.

Dani Carvajal

Carvajal couldn't play for the national team at a major tournament for a long time. He wasn't taken to the 2014 World Cup, and he didn't go to Euro 2016 or 2020 due to injury. Carvajal went to the World Cup in Russia, but was eliminated along with the national team in the quarterfinals by the Russian national team.

At the current tournament, he is a system-forming player for the Spanish team, but he is tough and unyielding. Due to an excess of yellow cards, the footballer missed the semi-finals, but the Spanish team managed without him. Carvajal will probably be in the starting lineup in the decisive match of the tournament.
