“Furia Roja” became the winner of the European Championship for the fourth time and earned the title of the continent's most titled team. The Spaniards first won the trophy at their home Euro in 1964. The next success had to wait 44 years, until 2008. Then in the final “Red Fury” defeated Germany with a minimum score, and the only goal was scored by Fernando Torres. Four years later, the Spaniards repeated their success - in the deciding match they defeated Italy 4-0. And now, at the stadium in Munich, the Spanish national team set a record for the number of won CE.

Royal support and Kane's curse

Harry Kane continues to lose the most important tournaments of his career. He didn't win any trophies while he was a Tottenham player, and Bayern Munich, where Kane moved to last summer, finished only third in the domestic league and did poorly in the Champions League. With the national team, Harry is also not good. The most successful performance of the English in the era of Kane was the silver medal at the European Championship-2020. In the final of that tournament, the English lost at home “Wembley” to the Italian national team. And now - again a misfire in the final.

Members of the British royal family always follow the success of the national team. Prince William visited the locker room of the national team after the draw with Denmark and supported the players. Also the heir to the crown took part in the awarding ceremony after the final match.

The next European Championship will be held in Great Britain: no better moment to win.

Ronaldo's tears

The most successful, the most starry and the most extraordinary participant of the European Championship - Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo will always make people talk about him. Krish's performance at the European Championship is called a complete failure. The footballer did not score a single goal and gave one goal (however, it was remembered for a long time). In the match 1/8 finals against Slovenia, Ronaldo did not realize a penalty in extra time, and this miss almost cost the Portuguese place in the tournament. After this blow, the permanent seventh number could not hold back tears: teammates had to console the sympathetic Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is in no hurry to end his international career. He has already stated that, most likely, will appear at the next major tournament of national teams - the World Cup-2026. Provided, of course, that Portugal gets there.

A schoolboy and a champion

The man who eclipsed Cristiano Ronaldo in the information field at this European Championship turned 17 the day before the final. Lamine Yamal became the youngest at this tournament in everything: in the authorship of goals, assists and, of course, the championship. The biggest and richest clubs in the world paid attention to the young Spanish talent, but Barcelona, for whom the prodigy plays, made it clear - Yamal is not for sale for any money.

For the first time in history, the Georgians made it to the Euros, and they did it at the last moment: in the knockout matches, having beaten the Greek national team on penalties in the way “C” of the Nations League in the decisive match.

At its first tournament, the Transcaucasian team came out of the group. The Georgians won the coveted ticket to the 1/8 finals thanks to a 2-0 victory over Portugal.
