Kevin Holland ended his career after losing to Hamzat Chimaev at UFC
The American veteran sees no chance of making it any higher.
After his defeat to the Swede Hamzat Chimaev at the recent UFC tournament, American fighter Kevin Holland decided to quit martial arts.
After the tournament, the American received a fair amount of criticism for the fight he lost and took that criticism as a guide to action.
"I had a good time, but now the old guys are being overpowered by the bold and young. Don't get in their way. At some point their time will come and go. It's my time now. I quit," Holland said.
According to the ex-fighter, if there's no real chance to get somewhere higher, closer to the title, you shouldn't just turn into a punching bag for the stronger fighters.
