Abubakar Nurmagomedov defeated Gadzhi Omargadzhiev at the Abu Dhabi tournam

It was an incredibly hard fight for both opponents.

The fight of two Russians Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Gadzhi Omargadzhiev in the next fight of the UFC 280 tournament taking place in Abu Dhabi initially assumed a lot of fighting.

Both athletes at one time were combat sambo champions, and both have passed good Dagestan school of fighting.

And that's how it turned out. The fighters spent almost the entire first round on the bottom. Nurmagomedov seized the initiative, but Omargadzhiev, who remained under his opponent, "tied up" Abubakar well, not allowing him to do anything.

At the beginning of the second round, Omargadzhiev was hit in the head from the knee by an accidental forbidden punch. The referee gave Abubakar a warning.

Then the rivals again went into the fight, where the advantage was again for Nurmagomedov, who did not forget about the punches at Khabib's active tips from the corner.

The clearly tired fighters spent almost the entire third round in the standup, where Abubakar also hit more often and more accurately. It was not until the last minute of the bout that the rivals again went into the fray, but no one was able to finish each other off early.

The referee's decision turned out to be predictable and unanimous in favour of Abubakar Nurmagomedov who won his seventeenth victory in twenty-one fights. Gadzhi lost for the second time in fifteen fights.
