All entry restrictions imposed during the World Cup will be lifted by the Qatari authorities starting December 23.
“From December 23, 2022, Qatar will be open to all tourists: now Russians will only need a passport to enter the country,” the country’s national tourism office, Qatar Tourism, said.
During the World Cup, only those foreign tourists who have a Hayaa card could enter Qatar. This document is an analogue of the fan's passport, and its cost was 500 rials or 8,500 rubles.
After the World Cup, travelers will be able to fully appreciate the infrastructure, attractions, entertainment and restaurants that have opened in Qatar over the past two years.
Recall that the World Cup was held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18. Argentina won the World Cup.
