Germany will lift remaining COVID restrictions in early March
The current COVID situation in the country is completely under control.
German authorities have announced that the country plans to lift the remaining restrictions on coronavirus - the masks and tests for patients and healthcare workers - in early March.
Commenting on the decision to lift the two requirements, which were originally due to remain in place until 7 April 2023, Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach said that the situation was manageable and that strict measures were not necessary.
Visitors to hospitals, doctors' surgeries and nursing homes will still be required to wear masks.
